  • 予習よしゅう: Tobira Ch.1 (日本の地理 / Japanese geography)
  • 漢字かんじ: Prepare for the kanji quiz on the next week (とびら Ch.1 漢字かんじ).
  • 作文さくぶん: Write an essay on the title "私の日本のふるさと". Write at least 1.5 pages on the composition grid (see below). See the rubrics for the essay here.

  • 作文さくぶん: Choose two digital stories that you like the most (one in English and the other in Japanese from the links above). Write a short (one paragraph) introduction to the stories of your choice (in Japanese). Submit the links to the videos and your introduction on Blackboard.

  • Description: The Japaense Program at LaGuardia Community College has organized a guided tour to the exhibition of "The Tale of Genji" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tour will be guided by an official tour guide at the Met. The tour will be conducted entirely in Japanese and this is a great opportunity for students in the Japanese class to use and listen to the Japanese language in an authentic setting.
